ERC POC 2023
Project Grant Award
Arash Ajoudani from the IIT - Italian Institute of Technology is among the 66 European researchers, 7 of whom are in Italy,
awarded today with Proof of Concept (PoC) funding by the European Research Council (ERC), amounting to 150,000 euros.
This funding aims to bridge the gap between the outcomes of their pioneering research and the initial stages of commercialization.
Ajoudani will focus on developing a new system of vision and artificial intelligence for monitoring three-dimensional human body movement.
The announcement by the ERC includes a list of 66 recipients across 14 countries in the European Union. 7 projects will be funded in Italy,
with 2 of them located at IIT in Genoa. The Proof of Concept grant scheme is only open to researchers who are currently or have previously
been funded by the ERC. The grant will be used to further develop the research project results achieved through other ERC contributions,
such as Starting, Consolidator, Advanced, or Synergy grants.
